DIY Hose Stand

I’m teaming up with some blogger friends again for another round of Farmhouse Friends projects! Today I have a super easy DIY hose stand that will help keep your backyard organized and looking beautiful. This post contains affiliate links to recommended products.
DIY Hose Stand

Anyone else have a garden hose that looks like this 99% of the time? Yeah, me too.
messyhoseMy husband and I decided to fix this issue with a cute & simple DIY hose stand!

What You’ll Need

DIY Hose Stand We constructed this almost exactly the same way we built our DIY Address Post.

  1. Paint your 4×4. We went with white for a classic look.
  2. Dig a hole for your post and set it in concrete. Using a standard 6 foot post, we set 1.5 feet into the concrete and left the remaining 4.5 feet above ground. You can make your post shorter depending on how much hose you need to hang. Allow time for the concrete to set up properly.
  3. Paint and attach your post cap. We painted ours black for a similar look to our DIY Address Post.
  4. Attach the hose hanger to the post.

And DONE! Now instead of a messy pile of hose in our flower bed, we have a cute DIY hose stand to keep the hose untangled and off the ground.

DIY Hose Stand It’ll look even better once my flowers start filling in behind it!

Thanks, Angie! Our garden hose was such a mess too, but now it’s pretty darn cute & I actually like looking at it :) Thank you for sharing it!

  1. Paula says:

This is perfect for keeping your hose neat and to make it look attractive. I’m one of those people who has to have a neat hose, (I was a horse girl and my instructor drilled that into me.) and a hanger like this definitely works. We have two on our property and I love them.

  2. Lauren says:

I need one of these! How did you keep the post straight while the concrete was setting? I am pinning this. Thanks for sharing this at Craft Frenzy Friday on Mom Home Guide!

    • Meg says:

We mixed the concrete so it was still pretty thick & then tamped it down so it would hold up the post while it was drying. Thank you so much for pinning!
