Last fall, I wrote about trying to appreciate the seasons more. Winter is always the hardest for me, but it hasn’t bothered me as much this year as it usually does. Despite this, it’s still the time of year that I experience tons of headaches, fatigue, and an all around lack of motivation. Please tell me I’m not the only one! Must be those 5 p.m. sunsets.
Wait, this was supposed to be about appreciating the seasons! So here are a few of my favorite things from this winter:
Spending lots of time on dreary days in the sunniest room in the house. I spent afternoons here reading a few books on our little town’s history and began researching the history of our own home.
And having some company while I research.
Traveling to antique shops in tiny towns and bringing home lots of treasures.
A few snow storms that left us with gorgeous surroundings and the day home from work!
Spending an afternoon with a new (old) book.
And of course, sometimes you just have to give into that urge to take a long winter nap…
You’re not alone on the winter blahs but your beautiful home and those plans should brighten the winter days!
Sympa ce billet. J’ai tout de suite pensé à la ligne 6 en voyant le titre !Pour moi c’était la ligne de départ en week-end. Je la prenais de Dugommier à Montparnasse pour rentrer chez moi quand j’étais étudiante. De bons son&2uirsv#8e30;
I too suffer from the winter blues. Once the days get longer I feel much better. I love your kitties!!
Thanks, Jennifer! I’m SO happy it’s finally spring! My kitties definitely helped brighten those winter days though :)
