Autumn’s Warmth

As someone who loves the warmth of summer, learning to appreciate the beauty of autumn is a bit easier when the season feels more like spring! Early fall has been lovely. The air is warm, our flowers are still blooming, and even the mums I picked up from the farmer’s market look like they are welcoming spring. Despite my love for the warmer seasons, I am still really looking forward to seeing all these leaves change color!

Welcoming Autumn

Autumn used to be my favorite season. That changed a few years back when I began associating it with the arrival of winter, the time of year I’m least fond of. Instead of being able to enjoy what the season had to offer, I dreaded the falling leaves and cooler temperatures because they signaled that winter was just around the corner. I’m still working on finding beauty and enjoyment in winter, but fall… you’re not so bad. You’re actually quite lovely!

Antique Wishlist for our Farmhouse

I love old stuff. That shouldn’t be surprising to anyone. When looking for a house, I told our realtor that I preferred one that was at least 75 years old. 100 years old was preferred! Well, we got our wonderful old house, and now it’s time to fill it up with wonderful old stuff!
